Terms

Version 1.0 · in effect from 30 September 2026

These terms are between you and Xenmark AS, organisation number 937 996 799, Aurvågvegen 150, 6070 Tjørvåg, Norway, which operates Xenindex at xenindex.eu.

1 · What Xenindex is

A directory of software made by companies registered in Europe. We publish listings after a person has reviewed them and checked the company against its national register.

We do not rate, rank by quality, endorse or recommend any software. A listing is not a recommendation. We are not party to anything between you and a company you find here, and we are not responsible for their products.

2 · Submitting a listing

You may submit only software you are entitled to represent, and you must verify control of its domain.

You confirm that what you give us is accurate, that you may grant us the licence in section 3, and that the company details match the official register.

Submitting does not entitle you to be listed. We decide what we publish, we give a specific reason when we decline, and a person makes every decision.

3 · Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it onXenindexfor as long as your listing is published, and to keep copies in backups for up to 40 days after removal. You can withdraw this by asking us to remove the listing.

You are responsible for everything you give us for a listing: it must be accurate, lawful, and yours to publish.

What is in the listing itself is public: the product name, descriptions, pricing, images and links, and the company's name, registration number, country and register check. Your email address, the company's registered address, and your name if you take over a listing are not published. We only hand them to others when the law requires it, for example to a court or a public authority.

4 · What we may do to a listing

We may hide, change or remove a listing when:

  • it breaks these terms or the submission guidelines
  • the information is wrong or has become wrong
  • the website stops working, is parked, is for sale, or redirects elsewhere
  • the company is no longer registered, or is no longer in an eligible country
  • a safety check flags the site
  • we are required to by law
  • or it causes, or is likely to cause, harm we cannot address another way

We tell you which of these applies, whether it was automatic, and how to respond. The last one is a backstop and we do not use it when a specific reason applies.

A hidden listing is not deleted. It returns when the reason is resolved. A listing hidden because its website no longer works, is parked or redirects elsewhere may be archived after 90 days; any other archive is a person's decision. Archived addresses are never reused.

5 · Paid products

Fast-track review, €29. Moves your submission to the front of the review queue. Your card is authorised at checkout and charged when the listing is approved.Nothing is charged if it is rejected. If we have not approved it within 4 days, the hold is released, you are not charged, and the listing continues in the queue at the same position. We offer Fast-track whatever the length of the queue, so this can happen when review is busy; the release is automatic and needs nothing from you. Fast-track does not change the checks or the outcome.

Enhanced Profile, €59 a year. Adds presentation features to your listing. Renews yearly until cancelled; we notify you at least 30 days before each renewal. Cancelling stops the next renewal and the features run to the end of the paid period. No partial refunds. Only the email address that purchased it may change or cancel it.

Launch Spotlight, €49. One week of clearly labelled sponsored placement. You may cancel up to 7 days before the week starts and receive the full amount back automatically, because nothing has been delivered. Within 7 days of the start, or once it has begun, there is no refund.

The core commercial rule. None of these affects whether a listing is accepted, where it appears in any listing or search result, the editorial link to your website or how that link is marked, whether you are indexed, or the checks and the decision on anything you submit later. Paid prominence appears only in areas labelledSponsored.

All prices include VAT where it applies.

6 · Refunds

We refund when the fault is ours — a payment taken in error, or a placement we did not deliver.

We do not refund when a listing is hidden, suspended or removed because of the product, the website, the company or the owner. That includes a product ending, a site going down, a company ceasing to be registered, a guideline or safety breach, and a removal you asked for.

If Xenindex itself shuts down, we refund the unused part of anything you have paid for.

7 · Listings we created

Part of the catalogue was created by us from public sources. Those listings carry factual information only, are marked as unclaimed, and say we created them. They do not imply any relationship with us.

You can claim yours, or ask us to remove it. Removal is unconditional.

8 · Complaints

If you are not the listing owner and object to something published here, write to support@xenindex.eu or use the complaint form. We acknowledge it with a reference, a person decides, and we tell both sides what we decided and why.

9 · Availability

We provide Xenindex as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of errors, and we do not promise that any listing will remain published for any period of time.

10 · Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, fraud, or intentional or grossly negligent acts.

Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for the paid product the claim concerns, and never more than €100. Where you have paid us nothing, we are not liable to you for any amount. We are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue, lost business, or indirect or consequential loss.

These limits never apply to the cases in the paragraph above, and nothing in them removes a right that mandatory law gives you.

11 · Changes

We may change these terms. Listing owners are emailed at least 15 days before a change takes effect, with a summary of what is different. Continuing to use Xenindex after that means you accept them. If you do not, ask us to remove your listing.

12 · Law

Norwegian law. Norwegian courts. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of mandatory law in your own country.
